This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our music program for our newcomer low-income students saves lives from the depression that comes with leaving your everything to join a new culture. Help us inspire our teenage students to stay in school, and to be inspired to learn culturally rich music.
Your help will ensure that our music program continues, as we only have three instruments that I brought from home, and 30 students are interested in learning music in our program.
When our students graduate more others will continue to join our band, and we will play in nursing homes and other community programs.
