This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
A couple of years ago our school was lucky enough to receive ukuleles from a generous donor. However, now we need more instruments to serve our growing community! Ukuleles give students the opportunity to sing and play music from a variety of genres and cultures. They will also learn the skills needed to write their own songs and express themselves, while learning to accompany themselves while they sing.
Giving students the opportunity to become independent learners and musicians helps them to find a lifetime of pleasure and satisfaction in playing music.
