I am Kindergarten teacher in a wonderfully diverse school in San Francisco with amazing and energetic students. I have been teaching for over 10 years, and I have made memory books for my students as an end of the year gift. Recently with innovative technology and savvy equipment, I realize that I can make a DVD for my students that will highlight every event or activity that the students have gone through. I am asking for a digital camcorder to be able to record my students' year in Kindergarten, but it's not just Kindergarten, it's the students' first year at the "big" school. Kindergarten is one of the most crucial year of a child's life. It's where the students begin to feel independent, learn to read and write, and do all the "big kid" things. It's also the time when parents learn to "let go" and see their child "off" to school. In Kindergarten, I see a huge transformation in the children, and to be able to record it will be invaluable as well as precious for the students and their parents. Having a digital camcorder will allow me to record events and activities of the class, and to share the memories with each student, friends and families, present and future. Thank you.
