This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Next year will be our first full year with the Yearbook Club. This year, we had cameras, and our students went above and beyond to take beautiful pictures for our yearbook. We asked them to brainstorm some ideas to make our first full year memorable and even more successful next year, and we were bombarded with fantastic views. The problem is that we have no budget to buy the items that the students want.
Our students come from various backgrounds, but all share a love of working hard and helping the school out.
They all completed speeches to join the yearbook and were voted in by their peers. They spent half this school year taking pictures and working on the yearbook, and we sold more copies than ever. We want to keep this passion-fueled and continue next year.
Our school hosts monthly events, and our members came up with the idea to create a selfie station and a family portrait station. We need backgrounds and props to make this successful. These are all items the students voted for. We love to keep the students involved and see this as a program that we can continue at the school for years to come.
