Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our elementary school is a Title I school in the city of Maywood. Most of the students at my school are English language learners.
For most preschool students, it is their first year of the learning experience.
This year my group is such an exciting group of mixed personalities, interests, abilities, and goals. My students are enthusiastic learners. They are learning how to write their names, write letters, and learn their sounds. They also are learning how to write numbers as well as one-to-one correspondence. My group loves to sing, listen to books, learn new games, and boogie to a sweet tune.
My Project
The printer will allow me to provide them clear copies of pictures and worksheets in a prompt manner. It will also allow me to individualize work and make copies to motivate my students. A lot of my students' work is saved and compiled to create memory books for my students at the end of the year. I show monthly progress of name writing pictures, art samples. and drawings. This memory is presented to parents and becomes their most valued keepsake in the future. This keepsake will remind them of their pre-school year.
