This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a teacher in a Title I school, I face many challenges to help my students succeed. However, each student that enters my classroom has such a love of learning and desire to be successful.

These incredible learners are scientists, mathematicians, authors, readers, engineers, and thinkers.

Your donation will help these little minds access resources and technology to improve their learning on a daily basis. Each student comes in with different backgrounds, interests, and language abilities. Meeting their individual needs is my goal. Your generosity will help my students and I achieve new goals.

My Project

Imagine a classroom full of multigrade students all engaged in learning activities that meet their individual needs and talents. My classroom is full of future engineers, scientists, authors, illustrators, and more. With the current digital resources, so much of our learning is done through the use of our Promethean Board in the classroom. Our district does a great job providing us with digital resources and digital tools to use on a daily basis to transform our learning building on the 21st century skills of creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and communication. We have access to the digital versions of all textbooks, Discovery Education, myON, and so much more. However, preparing and using these resources require updated technology to make the most use of them.

Coding, STEAM, collaboration, content creation, lesson delivery, and more ensures application of learning using the Apple iPad Pro as our main device to facilitate the process.

Using the iPad Pro, students will create content through Discovery Education, iMovie, and more. I can prepare lessons outside of the classroom to meet the needs of all learners. In small group, the iPad Pro is the perfect device to conduct strategy lessons. It can easily be passed from student to student. While working on the classroom rug, I can deliver a mini lesson using the iPad Pro as a mini interactive white board. Then, I can send our work to the classroom interactive white board for all to see. This iPad Pro is the perfect addition to our classroom technology!
