Making McCray's Classroom

Help me give my students a classroom they need and deserve this year. With this year being my first, I want to create an inclusive learning environment that is safe and inviting and has plenty of resources, like a laser printer, LED monitor, Apple AirPods, and more.

My Project

The materials and supplies that I am requesting will help students feel comfortable while working in my classroom. I know exactly where everything will go! We just need your help to get the items through the door. The artificial plants will be put in the back upper shelves in my class with warm lighting. The scanner/laser printer will be its own station near the front of my class where students will scan their work instead of turning it in (for safety reasons). The bean bags will also promote social distancing by providing cool, mini work stations that students will enjoy earning opportunities to work from. Apple AirPods will help the learner on the computer stay free of any distractions while I assist other students in the room. A speaker in my room will be used to play relaxing and calming sounds as this works great with demographic students I teach as proved by my previous experience in the classroom. Plickers will allow me to quickly gauge the students’ sense of progress and address accordingly -- this will be especially handy in my classroom. A monitor in my classroom will allow me to present modules, notes, videos etc. while keeping my kids engaged with differentiated materials. Lastly, I have also added Lysol spray and Lysol wipes to aid in keeping the room clean and safe to lessen the spread of Covid-19.
