My Students

Have you ever been faced with not having enough materials to complete a project? My students experience this reality on a daily basis in the classroom because of the limited number of textbooks and resources available to them.

I teach 7th/8th grade students in an underprivileged community in Illinois.

They come to school daily ready to learn, but need the appropriate classroom resources.

My school has very limited resources due to the budget crisis. Materials needed to effectively teach a lesson are scarce, and the requested items will help tremendously.

My Project

I have requested the Apple iPad because I will be teaching 110 students on a daily basis, and I do not have enough resources for my students during the mathematics instruction. I can download the student edition onto the iPad which will allow all students to have access to the instruction materials. Also, my struggling students can explore with the different mathematical apps. This iPad will make the lesson accessible because of limited supplies. I will be able to project the pages on the screen, so all of my students will be able to visualize it. All donations will help make the instructional material accessible for all the students.
