This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

School closure due to COVID-19 forced me to teach from home in unconventional ways. I'm grateful for the technology background and experiences I have had, thanks to professional development that has prepared me for something so unexpected, like working from home through the use of online resources.In order to be more effective, a document camera will enhance these lessons by allowing me to model mathematics more precisely. It will also make live, synchronous instruction more responsive as I can quickly draw up new problems and clarify content for students. I'm teaching through Microsoft Teams using the school laptop, but some of my students will benefit greatly from having the ability to at home to visualize what they are learning virtually.

My Project

My students welcome challenges. They come from low-income households and are seeking an experience with the world outside their small community. Many of my students have obstacles that distract them from the ability to learn online.

The document camera and pen will help me to recreate the classroom from home, allowing me to be more intentional on mathematical approaches.

While providing familiar learning arena, the document camera will also allow me to flow effortlessly between presentations and visual examples.

I serve students who desire differentiation. These tools will assist with whole group and small grouping. I can also began at creating a data base that students can access when seeking additional practice.
