Making Math More Motivating Part 2

My students need a Mastering Math Games Library - Gr. 4-6.

This project is fully funded

I teach 21 3rd grade students in a low-income, rural setting. Almost one fourth of my class speaks Spanish at home. Most of my students live in poverty and receive free lunch. Most of my students have been in my class since first grade and have remained with me this year.

I have several students who have already mastered much of the third grade math curriculum. They need enrichment in math in order to continue to make growth and not get bored.

I have found a set of math games that will help reinforce the new 4th grade skills that I will teach them this year. These games work on multi-digit multiplication, money in decimal form, problem solving, and fractions. All of these are skills that my students and several others in third grade have mastered. So these games will be a perfect way for them to continue to apply these skills while the rest of us are working on the third grade math skills.

Without these games, it will be much less fun for my students to truly master the place value, fractions, time, and money skills. Your help with this project will make it possible for my class and other 3rd grade classes in my school to build a firm understanding of these concepts. We would really appreciate having these games to work with while mastering math.
