Making Math Memorable (Manipulatives and Activities)
My students need math manipulatives and activities in order to strengthen their basic math skills. They need math centers specifying in math vocabulary and basic math facts.
I am a 5th grade public school teacher in a high-need community. I teach in an inclusion setting containing general education students as well as special education students. I teach math, reading/language arts, science and social studies.
My students are hard workers who enjoy learning, however, they are struggling in math. They need to strengthen their basic computation proficiency as well as their problem solving skills. They enjoy basic math challenges and activities, but we do not have the necessary and essential supplies or activities.
My students need small group workshop activities, math facts reinforcement, a daily math workstation, and dry erase boards and markers to compete in oral math competitions.
Your help will ensure that my students master their math facts and skills. They will be stronger students mathematically thanks to you.
