My Project
I have been a second grade teacher most of my career and feel pretty confident in teaching math concepts at that level. However, this year I have jumped 2 grade levels and am teaching 4th grade. I have taught this grade level math once before with only the textbook and I found the concepts to be difficult to teach and challenging for my students to learn (Hello fractions and division!). In order for me to best teach my students, i need to understand the "why" behind each math concept.
This Mix and Math 360 annual membership is exactly what I need to reach my students and build my understanding of math.
With this membership I will receive content specific videos that show me how to teach math concepts and the why behind doing so. I will also have access to hands-on resources, a math manipulatives mini-course, and a growing professional development library. Please help me become the math teacher my students deserve.
