My Students
My students are some of the strongest and most resilient people you will meet. They take what life gives them and run with it. Most of them are learning in a language they do not understand. They have huge personalities . They are learning how to be productive members of the world.
My Project
Students will use these math manipulatives to grasp basic concepts in math. They will use them to learn that numbers on a paper can be represented by concrete things. They will learn how to use blocks and clocks first before learning how to do it on paper.
They will learn that math is not something to fear or hate but that it can make sense.
That everything they learn has a purpose and a reason. It will help them build connections to what they know and what they are learning for years to come.
