My students need 50 TI-34 scientific calculators to support their math learning.

My Students
I teach in a small K-8 school in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn. There are fewer than 300 students in the entire school, and many of my 7th and 8th grade students have learned together since Kindergarten. 83% of the school's students are low-income, and 35% have some kind of disability.
My students are proud members of their school community.
While the school's test scores are low -- only 32% test at grade level in English Language Arts, and 16% in math -- the school is considered "high impact," meaning those scores are better than the expected outcomes given the school's demographics.
My Project
"Can we use the calculators? Please?" As a middle school math teacher, I hear this a lot!
My students use their scientific calculators every day, to check their work, to learn new concepts, to support them in their work as budding mathematicians.
But with wear and tear, I no longer have enough working calculators to go around. Students have to share. When testing comes around, this is no longer an option! I hope that you can help make sure that all of my students have the resources they need to succeed at math.
I am requesting 50 calculators -- the TI-34 model, which is what my students are currently using. Thank you in advance for helping my students succeed.
