This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting Double-Sided Counters, Ten Frames, a Number of the Day poster, and a 120-number chart to facilitate and make math lessons hands-on.

Second Grade math can get tricky for students if they do not have the opportunity to see it and manipulate it.

These math tools will help students get a clear picture of what number bonds really mean and how to break numbers apart efficiently. Starting with the number of day activities will help them cement the skills needed to succeed. Using ten frames will help students add and subtract numbers when regrouping necessary.
