My Project

Our classroom is built on a very discussion-based foundation, especially during math as we work to build number sense!

This project will provide my students with enough anchor chart paper and fun, colorful markers to last us all year long!

With these materials, students will be able to work as a team to develop a poster to showcase and present our math learning target for the week. These posters will hold all our triumphs and mistakes, inciting rich discussions about numbers, mathematical concepts, and helping us to become flexible with quantities and mathematical operations. As we participate in productive struggle together, our learning will be captured on anchor charts created by my students and displayed around the room for reference as we scaffold our learning together. I am very excited to facilitate problem solving through math tasks and help nurture a love of mathematics within my students!
