This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a math teacher, I am looking to foster a learning environment where my students can grow to love math class and feel confident taking academic risks.

My goal is to help my students unlearn the idea that they are "bad at math".

In order to do this, I am trying to revamp my math classroom with the needed materials that will support their number sense, math vocabulary, and growth mindset.

With the help of these math materials, I can provide my students with a positive math environment that has the math tools and manipulatives they can use to grow their independence as math thinkers!
