My Students

Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best vary greatly. We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are! They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of learners that are excited and ready to learn each year!

When they learn something new and make a connection with real-world experiences you should see the light bulbs going off.

The theme in our classroom is Washington University Huskies, which exposes our scholars to options greater than what they could imagine.

My Project

This Microsoft surface will help improve my student engagement. I was looking for a way for my scholars to be able to work with Nearpod and Kahoot. My scholars really enjoy working with this technology, but I do not utilize it often because I have to use it sitting at the desk. With this Microsoft surface I will be able to circulate around the room. A classroom computer can be incredibly effective tool for teaching and learning. There are many benefits that come along with having a computer in the classroom such as the ability to provide more engaging activities for my students, as well as allowing for the creation of more individualized lessons.
