Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school, my students faced several challenges both in and out of the classroom. All of my students have been identified with special needs such as autism, developmentally delayed, intellectual disabilities, language impairment and deaf and hard of hearing. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking for the best classroom tools to provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.

My early childhood special education students are very creative, and full of energy.

They like to observe, play and explore new materials. A typical day in our class is based on learning through play. From the minute they walk in the door of my classroom I focus on their potential and growth. I am hopeful to inspire even our earliest learners to continue on a path of academic excellence.

My Project

Having a new computer/laptop in the class will help the students to learn how to use the equipment. By teaching the little ones how to use an electronic device, they will be able to improve their computer skills and use it the best way possible.

Also, they will be able to work on different programs and games based on the classroom' curriculum.

Our little friends need to keep up with today's technology and learn how to use it as a learning tool. If they learn how to use this device, it prepares children for future computer use, increases self-esteem and self-confidence.
