My Project
To teach VPK students is to see tiny people transform right before your eyes. They enter preschool scared and afraid and depart as resilient, brave, and more skilled children, ready to take on Kindergarten.
As I am many of my students' first teacher and representation of what school will be like moving forward, it is my goal to make learning fun and to get my students excited about learning.
The items I am asking to be donated to my class consists of activities and games that will help to increase oral language skills, especially for students who are English Language Learners, as well as letter, number and sound recognition, rhyming words, sequencing letters and numbers, creating patterns, and so much more. All of these items may be linked directly to learning skills outlined by Florida Early Learning Standards. In turn, mastering the skills outlined by the Florida Early Learning standards will help ensure students are equipped with the tools to achieve academic success on their standardized test, (Fast Star Early Literacy Test).
