Making Learning Connections Through Art!

Help me give my students art supplies that help them create projects that integrate into what they are already learning in the classroom! Black card stock and sharpies are used for projects related National Parks and Earth layers.

My Project

I love giving every student in our school the opportunity to make meaningful learning connections through art.

My job as a BTS educator is to take the core standards being taught in the classroom and expand students understanding through art.

1st graders create their own fantastical insect that is created and labeled with all the parts of insects.

4th grade explores our galaxy and national parks and how they both connect us to the past. They use black card stock to paint a galaxy, and then use sand art to create a Utah landscape that represents one of our 5 national parks.

3rd grade learns about earth layers and how minerals and gemstones are formed. They then use up-cycled plastic sheets to draw a gemstone with sharpies and create a beautiful sun catcher.
