Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Work hard and be nice is the motto for my 30 second grade superstars! The community that my class creates is not only inviting and warm, but also fun and exciting! There isn't a moment that isn't filled with laughter or learning.

My students are each other's biggest supporters and teachers.

That is why despite the challenges that my students face- living in a high poverty area and learning English- my students excel, together!

The majority of my 30 students are learning English. Students' first languages vary from Spanish, Arabic, Vietnamese, and Mandarin. For some, this is the first time that they have been exposed to the English language.

My Project

In a technology driven world, not having the resources to keep up keeps us one step behind. Without a reliable printer, I usually end up hand writing or drawing items that could easily be printed off. The amount of time saved would greatly increase my efficiency and more time for planning.

With only one working black and white printer available to teachers at my school, it becomes difficult to properly prepare and distribute useful materials to my students.

A printer that I could easily access, in my classroom, would greatly increase the resources that I could provide to my students.

The laminating pouches would help preserve the materials that I print and/or student work. This would allow me to reuse materials for many years to come.
