This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a teacher working in the same elementary school I attended, I feel honored to serve the students from the same community I grew up in and am still a part of. My students are super special to me as I see myself in them and can understand their individual needs. They are creative thinkers, eager to learn, and enjoy hands-on activities. They are motivated to make their families proud and set an example for the younger students at school.

My students come from a low-income neighborhood where 97% are economically disadvantaged.

With my students coming from low socioeconomic backgrounds, they often lack the resources they need to be successful in the classroom.

They have a diverse set of needs, and as their teacher, I am hoping that I can do my best to give them an enriching learning experience where they can overcome any barriers and achieve their highest potential. They deserve every opportunity to succeed, and I intend to do whatever I can to help them accomplish their personal and academic goals. I hope to do this by giving them an interactive notebook experience that will help them get excited about learning 6th grade math.

For these reasons, I am seeking Teachers Pay Teachers activities, notes and materials that will allow my students to engage in critical thinking, enhance their learning and help them fall in love with math. I hope to bring joy to the classroom by showing them the value of math in their everyday lives and offering the best activities from TPT that will help them learn and grow.
