My Project

I am an elementary teacher moving up to teach history in high school. I want to build a classroom environment that is inviting as well as informative. Posters will be a valuable tool in my history classroom because they make key information visually accessible and engaging for students.

Posters can highlight important timelines, historical figures, and themes in a way that reinforces daily lessons and supports different learning styles.

The posters I have requested can also help create an immersive environment that sparks curiosity and encourages students to connect with the material beyond just reading a textbook.

The requested resource books are essential in teaching history in high school because they provide accurate, in-depth information that goes beyond the standard textbook. They offer multiple perspectives, primary source materials, and detailed accounts that help students develop critical thinking skills. With resource books, I can design more engaging and comprehensive lessons that connect past events to present-day issues, helping students better understand the relevance of history in their lives.
