My Students
My students are inner-city students in grades sixth, seventh and eighth. We have a very diverse student population. Our school also has a wide range of academic levels. We offer 14 after school sports for our students to participate in.
We strive to empower all our students to grow and be the best that they can be.
All of my students are eligible to receive both the school breakfast and lunch daily for free. Most of our school population takes public transportation.
My Project
Throughout the school year there are times when students are given opportunities for student choice. The addition of the Giant Uno card game and Giant Connect Four game will allow students to select something to do when they are not dressed appropriately for gym class activities or have a physical limitation that prevents them from participating in the class activity.
The much needed drum fan will help circulate the air in our gym space.
We strive to provide an environment that allows structure as well as choice. The addition of these items will help increase student participation in our gym classes.
