Help me give my students Lakeshore Fraction Number Lines Write & Wipe Boards, Learning Resources Pizza Fraction Fun, and Lakeshore Visualize It! Part-Whole Fractions Cards.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As almost everyone knows and understands, math simply cannot be learned without visuals and hands-on activity for most, if not all. Research has shown time and time again that students need hands on opportunities to manipulate numbers and new concepts.
You will be funding students exploring with fraction tiles and number lines to that they can have a strong foundation understanding fractions.
Quality math instruction relies on resources like these to support learning and true understanding.
The Edx Education Abacus will help me give the math lessons better during distance learning so that my students can see how to manipulatives the math tools at home by themselves. Manipulatives are for EVERYONE, but certainly are an even greater help to a certain population of students. Thank you in advance for your generosity!
