Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach middle school students who have special needs. My class is the Life Skills class for students with moderate to severe needs. Our unique class has the opportunity to go out into the community and learn life skills to increase independence. Our students get the chance to practice taking city transportation, making purchases at local stores, ordering food from restaurants and more.
With the help for amazing donors like you, my students will have the opportunity to learn more about being financially literate and also gain valuable life skills.
Thank you and we truly appreciate your help.
My Project
My students would benefit greatly from being able to practice making and receiving change in class. They will be prepared to go out into the community to make real purchases from the practice and knowledge they gain from these activities.
From Walmart to Dollar Tree, every year my students have fun making gift purchases for family and friends during the holidays.
This kit would allow us to get them ready to go shopping for the holidays.
Thank you for your support. Our students appreciate it very much.
