Making Fast Work of Assessments to Make Our Class STEM-Tastic!

My students need ESGI to complete stress free and age appropriate assessments so I may support them in their learning needs.

My Students

I teach first grade at a STEM magnet elementary school in New Mexico. Our school is lucky to be situated in the mountains where we may use nature as an extension of our classrooms. My students love singing, dancing, animals, and integrating STEM into our concepts.

My class is hard-working, innovative, and eager about learning.

We have a great time learning in unique ways and with fun themes. My students learn all of the standards required by the state and beyond, but in a way that makes learning fun and exciting.

Creating this type of environment for my beautiful first graders means I have to find ways to be creative about time management. It is important to have students feel excited to come to school every day. The happier my students are in class, the more they learn. I hope to continue to have time to create joyful and exciting environments for my students.

My Project

In our classroom, we use fun themes to make STEM learning come to life. It takes a lot of preparation, decoration and added time to plan all of the activities to make our themed units as educational AND exciting as possible.

My students love the engaging activities we do in class.

I find being organized and using tools like ESGI help improve my time management. ESGI is a critical part of ensuring we may continue the fun activities that my students remember for years after they leave my classroom.

ESGI is an online tool that helps me complete one on one assessments with my students quickly and easily. Without it, I would have to spend at least twice the time to complete all the assessments required for each student. I would also have to look up and make copies of all the assessments. With ESGI, the students see their results immediately. Forms are created automatically for parent communication, so families are aware of what their child needs to work on and where they are improving. I rely on ESGI to help save time that I then use to make our learning magical.
