Making Every School Day Count by Improving Attendance Poster Campaign!

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

P.S. 108 is a Title I school in NY that consists of approximately 1400 students. As we return to school after a challenging year, we want to show our students the importance of coming to school each day. As many schools have, we have seen an incredible rise in chronic absenteeism as a result of the changing school environment, learning in a remote world, family health concerns and much more.

We want to raise awareness about the importance of coming to school every day, Every School Day Counts!

Our goal is to start the year by stressing the importance of coming to school each day to provide all of our students with an opportunity to receive an equitable education. We have many plans in mind to spread the word and our motto of "Every School Day Counts" and the support of a donor will help us, help our students, families and the school community.

We need supplies! At the start of the year we will be launching a poster campaign that will create an opportunity for the entire school to work with their families to create posters that will support our message of "Every School Day Counts."

My Project

As the new school year begins, we will start the year by stressing the importance of improved attendance as we are coming out of a year of uncertainties that impacted student attendance.

Help us start out the year and meet our goal of improved attendance and decreased chronic absenteeism by contributing to our Every School Day Counts Poster Campaign!
