Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach EL students in a low economic area, where students are at risk. I teach kindergarten through sixth graders. They are in the process of learning English and I will use these books, supplies, and supplemental materials to enrich their learning. The lower grades will use picture books to help them understand words in English. From there, they will use sentence strips to create sentences about what they have read. The upper grades will use markers to create projects in Science and Social Studies. I will use the gift cards to Teachers Pay Teachers to find supplemental activities/ worksheets to help with language development.
