My Students
I teach in a preschool room in a low-income school district. My students are faced with challenges inside and outside of the classroom. Despite the many challenges that my students are facing, I strive to provide them with a fun, interactive, safe, and meaningful learning environment. As their teacher, I try to instill the importance of communicating/listening to one another, being a good citizen and leader, and using trauma-informed techniques to aid them in their social-emotional development.
My students have various learning styles' backgrounds and needs.
Due to being located in an inner-city, funding is extremely hard to come by, and in order to provide my students with the best learning experiences I can give them, I typically find ways to procure these items and experiences out of pocket or by any means I can, which is where DonorsChoose comes in.
My Project
My classroom loves to be creative and express their creativity hands-on through various art projects. We have quickly started depleting our classroom paint supply and need additional paint to keep their creativity flowing!
This project is for different washable paints for students to use in classroom art projects and to allow them to explore their ideas and creativity through a hands on medium.
By having different types of washable paints and in array of different colors, this will allow us to integrate painting even more into our classroom projects and allow students even more opportunities to be creative!
