Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The non-fiction texts in this project will enhance the print-rich pre-k classroom that I strive to create. The books in this project will be placed in our classroom library and will include subjects that cover our content areas and the interest of the children. By adding these books to our classroom library we will be providing students with books that they will make connections with. Students will be able to choose the books, which will help them continue to enjoy independent reading time.
With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to read independently and/or with a teacher.
These books will help increase student interest in reading as they provide students with high-interest content they can relate to. By funding this project you will meet our need of including more non-fiction books in our classroom and help our students grow in their love of reading and expand their knowledge in various subjects.
