Making Beautiful Music Together Using Our New Digital Piano
Help me give my students a beautiful, new digital piano to replace the one that is close to 30 years old and is breaking down.

My Students
I teach music to 350 terrific students in a rural community in West Central Wisconsin. I have been at my current school for 24 years. When people ask me about my job, I can honestly say, I love it! I work with wonderful students, a great staff and our administrators are strong supporters of our thriving arts programs. I am so fortunate to be a part of this wonderful school district.
My best days of teaching are when I hear “that was so fun!” “we’re done already?” “I love this game!” “I love you Mrs. O!” “Can we do that again?”
I can’t imagine myself anywhere else; my job is not just a job, it’s my life.
My Project
A new digital piano would be a wonderful addition to our music room! Our current electronic piano is almost 30 years old and is nearly falling apart.
A digital piano can be used with my students in so many ways: to accompany their singing, to teach them vocal or instrumental parts, to demonstrate or play classical (or other) music written by various composers, to use as part of my piano keyboard class for mini “recitals,” and more.
Students who are given the opportunity to learn to play the piano are successful in other areas of life: concentration, discipline and perseverance.
More than a third of students from low‑income households
