My Students
My class is in a public Montessori school serving children in K3 through 8th grade. In our 1st through 3rd grade classroom, we focus on academic and practical life skills that children need to be successful. The children in my class are creative, thoughtful, and curious, always interested in learning something new!
My students are creative, caring, enthusiastic learners who are beginning to understand their special place in our world.
I want them to develop a curiosity that allows them to appreciate all that Montessori education has to offer!
My Project
Handwork and practical life activities are important parts of any Montessori classroom. It connects children to nature, history, science and each other! Sewing and weaving provide opportunities to incorporate practical life into art, science, history and math while expressing themselves creatively.
Making beautiful projects allows children to express themselves in a way that is both creative and tangible.
My students love to express themselves through art and use different materials to follow up on lessons.
We will use these materials for follow up work, practical life activities, gifts, and creative expression. The children will be so excited to follow up on activities!
