My students are a wonderful group of bright, hard working and inquisitive kids. We all know that the majority of the careers of the future are going to require our students to know how to effectively use technology. Unfortunately, with limited school funds, we have to share Chromebook carts with the entire school so the chromebooks are not always available for the students to use on a daily basis.
My students truly enjoy using Chromebooks in class and would benefit from having a class set of Chromebooks to use daily for research, creating and completing alternative assessments that require the students to know how to effectively use technology.
My Project
Atoms are very interesting for the students to study, however, because they are so small, and the particles that they are made of are even small, sometimes it is challenging for students to visualize and understand all of the parts of an atom. Students love making atomic models although this can be very challenging with paper or other non-magnetic pieces because it is often challenging to keep all of the particles secure and in place.
These magnetic atomic models will make it easier for students to understand the structure of an atom without the frustration of the different particle pieces getting lost.
