Making and Building Connections With Bilingual Books

Help me give my students much needed bilingual books. These would be a wonderful addition to our classroom library.

My Project

Currently my classroom library only has books in English. These books would ensure that my emergent bilingual students have more options to select from and to share with their families. The best way to grow as a reader is to practice and these books will help bridge the gaps students have and get them to become fluent bilinguals.

With these books added to my classroom library, my students will be able to develop confidence, read independently and continue to grow in developing Spanish and English skills.

Bilingual books support language development, improve vocabulary and comprehension, and provide cultural awareness.
