Help me give my students ink that will allow both me and the children to print their completed work which can be displayed in the class and shared with their families.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Papas's classroom raised $169

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My classroom community consists of 25 enthusiastic children. They come to school ready to learn. They are like sponges, soaking up everything that they are given an opportunity to explore, see, and learn.
My Kindergarten students are excited about learning and motivated to do their best.
My students aren’t always fortunate enough to have even basic supplies/needs easily available to them. A school is a safe place for them to learn and to be given the tools they need to succeed. They come from low income, immigrant families, that work hard, and value education. The students in my class are challenged and supported through instruction that allows for differentiation to accommodate the range of learner needs.
My goal is to open the minds of my young students and create a passion and thirst for learning enabling them to become successful citizens of the future. In my classroom, I like to provide my students with multiple opportunities to learn. In addition, it is important to include multiple modalities to teach and expose them to a variety of ways to gain their knowledge that extends beyond paper and pencils.
My Project
Schools around our city and state are suffering from budgets that are being cut in half. Programs and supplies are being eliminated because of tight funds. Each classroom in my school is equipped with a printer but we are now faced with the issue of not being able to purchase ink.
My Kindergarten students are excited about learning and motivated to do their best.

They come from low income, immigrant families, that work hard, and value education. The students in my class are challenged and supported in small group instruction that allows for differentiation of instruction to accommodate the range in learner needs
As teachers, we use the printer to print individualized strategy charts used for teaching and for resources that students can use. Students also use the printer to print emergent reader books as they begin the exciting journey of learning to read. My students work very hard on their weekly writing. Many of these writing assignments are accompanied by visual components, including images and pictures. Without the availability to print, these young learners are missing out on the opportunity to physically hold a hard copy of their work.
Could all this be possible without ink?
Instead of supporting our students’ education, we are hurting it, by not having certain resources such as, ink, for printing.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
