Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
All donated items will be used for the Communities in the Schools room, where we provided snacks and a creative place for students to feel comfortable being themselves. Snacks, like Pop-Tarts Toaster Pastries, are provided for students who often skip breakfast or may not always have food at home. I inquired for an elite gourmet ECT cool touch toaster to provide the students with a warm breakfast item.
I also chose a Soucolor Art and crafts supplies set, along with a Circuit Joy machine to help inspire creativity in our students to work on projects based on Social Emotional learning.
By providing our students with items such as a Managerial executive office chair, I am able to create a space for students to use where they can work comfortably and efficiently. Since our space is limited, I chose a Winsome Halifax storage organization drawer that can be used to keep items such as the art supplies organized in the supply closet. Along with a Punion heavy duty clothing garment rack to keep our clothing closet well organized and easy access to the students.
