Making a 21st Century Classroom

My students need iPads, a printer with ink, and an Apple TV to create and display projects and their own creations.

FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Smith's classroom raised $900

My Students

Technology is a part of of life so it is time to bring it into the classroom. My students love creating new things and with the help these products they will not only be creating with pencils and paper. This technology will take them over and beyond what they will need outside of my classroom.

My students are the ones that are ready to learn, but have a hard time focusing or they are just not given many opportunities.

Every one of my students get excited when it comes creating a project that relates to what they are learning. They can also be really funny and have a lot to say all at once. It amazes me what comes out of their months sometimes. They are so much wiser then adults give them credit for. My students also set really high standards for themselves because I heard several of them already talking about college and they are only in the second grade.

My Project

My students will be using this technology to create and display projects that will go along with the curriculum in second grade. The iPads will be used by creating their projects and the use of apps to better enhance their learning experiences. Then they will be able to display their work by using the Apple TV to project in the classroom. With the printer they will be able to make copies of their work and not only share with their peers, but also their parents. The iPads and the Apple TV will open their eyes to the outside world and they will see how they can impact the world by making just one decision.

My classroom does not really give the students the chance to access different types of technology.

With the help of this donations my students will see that so much more can be done with technology. They will see that whatever is in their minds can be created and shown to the world. My hope is that by having these devices in my classroom it will open their eyes and then their ambitions will continue to grow.
