My Students

My students are amazing! Our school is located in a rural part of central California in the foothills of the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains. We love our community and the natural resources we have in our area.

Many of my students come from middle- to low-income families.

My students come to school every day excited to learn something new and ready to take on new challenges. While our students have many obstacles in their lives, they persevere and succeed.

My Project

My classroom runs on a token economy. My students earn Burr Bucks for coming to school, doing their work, and getting caught doing the right thing. My kids love to earn this money and spend it in our classroom store. Many of our store items have been supplied by Donors Choose.

Our money is running out.

It is time to print more money in different denominations. The ink and colored paper will be used to make more money for our classroom. Burr Bucks are a big hit, and we need more ink and paper to continue having a token economy in our classroom.
