Help me give my students Makey Makey Classic materials so students can code everyday objects!
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Quon's classroom raised $216

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are learning how to code. The Makey Makey Classic Kits are tools they can use to program inanimate objects! Students will use their devices to c code everyday objects like bananas, books, pet water bowls, pencils, etc. to put an action to them with the Makey Makey alligator clips. For example, students can program the pencil to play a certain piano key.
My students love STEAM activities and gobble up any learning that is hands on!
My students will begin to see themselves as innovators and engineers that design and create rather than as mere observers when they actively engage in STEAM activities. Activities like these challenge my students' thinking for problem solving. They build cause and effect critical thinking skills as students plan backwards when they have to figure out how to slowly work through processes to get to a desired result.
