My Project
All students should have access to innovative and inspiring STEM opportunities. My goal as a teacher is to provide these experiences to my diverse, underserved population of students.
Help transform my students into Computer Scientists!
It's imperative for them to have exposure to STEM in order for them to be set up for future success. STEM, and Computer Science in particular, is one of the largest growing career fields and we need more diverse people to be a part of it. Diversity in STEM brings together new perspectives, which in turn, generates better results and shapes a more inclusive world.
Makey Makey materials provide students with hands-on, collaborative opportunities to create their own circuits and conductors that connect to their computers. With Makey Makey materials, students can create circuits that allow them to invent various games and controls. The possibilities of what you can create are endless and can be integrated into all core subject areas. Students can even use the code that they write themselves in conjunction with Makey Makey materials. Thus, this allows for students to see their code in action.
