My Project

Students can use Makey Makey technology in a number of ways. Our third graders will be using Makey Makeys to create a musical instrument. Students will explore coding as they create something that makes different sounds. They will create something they believe their classmates would want to buy in our Makey Makey Market.

Students will be learning about financial literacy during this project.

They will have a limited budget to spend on each material to make their musical instrument. On market day students will get to shop with their leftover money. We will discuss our challenges and successes. We will analyze our savings and spending.

Students will be thinking critically, responding digitally, and communicating effectively as we explore financial literacy and use the engineer design process.
