My Students
My classroom is STEM class. STEM stands Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. In this class, students get to experience hands-on learning, team building, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. My students enjoy working and collaborating with either other to help each other obtain the objective for the day. They get to do the hands-on activities and projects, which allows them to merge concepts that they are learning in other classes. With STEM education, Students get to think creatively and find out-of-the-box solutions for problem-based learning activities.
Each student brings their strengths into the classroom as 21-century learners and need tools like problem-solving, collaborations, and innovative thinkers to help them engage in the world that is constantly changing
My Project
Makey Makey is a resource that allows everyday objects that conducts a little bit of electricity to be used in different ways. Makey Makey allows students to experiment with open and closed circuits. This allows for students to gain back some of the hands-on learning that has been lost during the COVID-19 Pandemic. This experience also gives students insight into how electronics that they use in everyday life function.
Makey-Makey will allow for students to gain hands-on and interactive lessons that allow them to make new connections or reconnect with content that they have already been exposed to.
With Makey-Makey, students have the ability to observe, conduct, design, projects that further their learning experiences.
