This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students need hands on materials to engage and deepen understanding of science concepts. Many students are struggling with reading and math, so hands on kinesthetic kits support them to pursue personal interests and hone skills separate from math and reading. Makey Makey kits allow them to create, experiment, imagine, explore, with concepts of circuitry, and engineering. With a class set, there will be plenty of materials for all students to be engaged, and not be frustrated by waiting for their turn,.I hope to inspire them to pursue careers in STEM, and develop pleasant curiosity for experimenting in science.
