This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

What an amazing opportunity for my students to have resources that we do not already have to use for learning and growing.

We are part of a Title I school where everyone qualifies for free breakfast and lunch. Our kids love to have fun and learn. We want to give every kid the opportunity to learn more and be good at what they do. We want them to leave school feeling successful in everything they do.

My Project

I cannot think of a better way to teach coding but through the use of Makey Makey. You can create game controllers, invent musical instruments, make voting machines, and light up paper circuits. Connect Makey Makey to the world and the possibilities are endless!

Giving our students hands-on resources is the best way to learn something new and exciting.

Students can invent projects that combine the tactile materials of the classroom with the coding projects they are creating on the computer to bring their creations to life. Makey Makey is used to enhance the existing curriculum through problem-based or project-based units or engineering design challenges.

I can't wait to get these in my classroom. Thank you for helping my classroom!
