My Students
Our school is located north of Phoenix in Anthem, Arizona, and our students have varied backgrounds and abilities. Our students are 21st Century learners, and most have never known a world without technology.
Our school is creating a Makerspace where students (makers) can use high and low tech materials for problem-based learning.
Our students have one-to-one technology and use a variety of tools to enhance their learning.
At our school we inspire lifelong learners through character, collaboration, and creativity! We are Anthem Rockets!
My Project
Our school is creating a Makerspace where students can use high and low tech materials to enhance their learning. When students are faced with a problem, we want them to have to tools they need to learn how to solve those problems.
Makerspaces can be used by students of all ages to be more than passive learners; students become active creators and innovators, helping them learn how to think creatively and work collaboratively!
The requested books will serve several purposes including giving students an opportunity to read about scientists and inventors who might inspire them. Additionally, this project contains books and task cards that will get our Makerspace up and running!
