My Students
I want my kids to become innovators. I want them to tell their stories while creating and innovating! My only limitations are price tags! I want my inventors to be able to become innovators.....Will you help?
My 18 fifth graders are enthusiastic and energetic when it comes down to learning.
They are aware of the skills that are needed to serve and be active members of today's society. They attend a Title One school with a high percent of economically disadvantage families. Such a factor influence the way they learn and their expectations in life. Yet, they do not give up and want a better lifestyle.
My Project
I am asking for three Makey Makey kits, a triple beam balance and a set of Tinkering books to spark their interest in becoming makers and tinkers. I want to give them an opportunity to discover a love for school and learning. By acquiring these materials, my classroom will start transforming into a tinkering studio. My vision is to have stations all over the room- with students creating and collaborating.
I need the science supplies to make the tinkering studio come alive in my classroom.
