My students need materials to continue with our MAKERS SPACE in the library. We will be creating videos using our GREEN SCREEN and iPad mounts. I have included materials for my more artistic students as well!

My Students
My school is a 6th through 8th grade middle school. We are currently undergoing authorization as an International Baccalaureate school. Our students are learning to become globally aware and independent learners. We offer two foreign languages to all students (Mandarin and Spanish). We have a population of approximately 800 students from a wide variety of backgrounds. At least 44% of our students come from low income homes. We have a small percentage who are homeless or in transitional housing.
We need materials in our library to support our STEM learning.
Our building is a home away from home for many students. Many students arrive an hour before school begins and remain at least an hour after. The library is a space where students spend much of these additional free time during lunch and before and after school. It is important to provide materials for them to explore the many facets of STEM.
My Project
We have been slowly growing our library Maker's Space. I'd like to add materials for students with different interests. My goal is to have a wider variety of materials to give my students more tools to be creative. There will be craft books with ideas and supplies like duct tape; paper and cardboard to help them create. I am also adding some electronic components to create a variety of circuits.
We also have a need for some digital video creations.
Students need a green screen and iPad mounts to start creating short videos for classroom projects and public service announcements.
