Students in Problem Solving in Physics build prototypes and projects that help them to solve problems. According to a 2019 Burning Glass Labor Report, problem-solving ranks among the top three most demanded skills by employers of the 21st century. Increasingly, educators are being asked to narrow the gap between formal education and practice in technical and engineering fields. A major challenge is assuring that high school students are prepared to tackle complex and difficult problems in their future professions.
The Circut maker will help students to refine their prototypes and give shape to their visions.
Students will be able to use the Cricut to add details like vinyl logos, stickers or die cuts to their projects.
Since my students attend a creative and performing arts school, they have a strong interest and talent in the arts. Projects that integrate arts aid in connecting course content with their passion in the arts which will help to deepen their understanding of scientific concepts, as well as promote a lifelong love for STEM.
